Why choose us

There is plenty of wrong when you suffer from a disability, which is why at The Ethembeni School, we forget about what is wrong, focus on what is right and develop a strategy for individual students to learn and accomplish greatness.

Some may feel that this is impossible, but with consistency and a little bit of patience, the most amazing things are possible.

Just ask the staff of The Ethembeni School, who are witness to this every single day.

  • women, young and old. what is it like to live like this? we all know, but it has come to a point that it has to be told.
the monsters are now the ones you pass in the street. they don’t respect that you don’t want to stop, no they want you to greet, or for your eyes to at least meet.
if you choose to carry on with your task, not giving them want they ask, well then, best you brace yourself for you now become their target, in which they bask.
if it’s “only a comment” about your body well then “I guess that’s okay?” it’s a compliment right? what’s all the dismay?
then there’s the whistles, the chirps and please don’t forget the looks. like you are some new object, more realistic than what they get in those books.
enough is enough, you’re not owed a thing; she is a queen and you aren’t the king.
this is not all men,
but just enough for all women to have had an experience with this. change starts in the lives of the boys that become our men. - written by S J O
